Slate Of Third-Party Publishers Announced For Nintendo Switch
One of the key struggles for Nintendo with the Wii U has been the lack of third-party support. Nintendo has always been great at developing and publishing its own properties, but sometimes it has struggled to maintain strong partnerships with outside publishers. With the newly announced Switch, Nintendo hopes that will change. Today, alongside the reveal of its new system, Nintendo announced a huge list of third-party publishers and developers that will be supporting the Switch through software.
The list features a mix of the heaviest hitters in the industry, as well as some smaller names. During the preview trailer, we caught glimpses of third-party games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (possibly the remastered Special Edition) and an NBA game (presumably NBA 2K17) running on Switch, but the list of confirmed publishers released by Nintendo is much more robust than that.
