Titan Quest Anniversary Announced, Released

by Joe Juba on Aug 31, 2016 at 08:50 AM

Diablo may be the biggest name in dungeon-crawling action/RPGs, but it's not the only one. Titan Quest (originally released in 2006) is one of the most underrated entries in the genre, and publisher THQ Nordic is celebrating the game's 10th anniversary in two ways: a new edition of the game, and giving away said edition for free to people who already own the original.

Titan Quest Anniversary Edition is available now on Steam, and collects the base game and its expansion into a single package. But there's more: It also sports a lot of tweaks and changes to improve the experience, so it doesn't just collect the old games.

For gamers who already have Titan Quest and/or its expansion, Immortal Throne, the anniversary edition has automatically been added to your Steam library. If you're new to the game, you can buy the anniversary edition at a special price of $5 until September 7, when it goes up to its regular price $20.

Our Take
I remember reviewing (and really enjoying) Titan Quest when it first released 10 years ago. This game never got the recognition it deserved, and I'm happy that a new wave of players will be able to enjoy it.
