EA Adds Torchlight II To Origin Access Vault

by Mike Futter on Feb 25, 2016 at 10:13 AM

You might recall that EA launched a PC counterpart to its Xbox One Access service. The premise is the same: for a monthly subscription fee, you get early play time with EA games and unfettered access to a selection of games.

The latest in the “Vault” is Torchlight II. Whereas Runic’s first action-RPG lootfest is a single-player affair, the sequel adds multiplayer and four new classes.

EA Access subscriptions cost $4.99 per month. Included in the Vault are the following:

  • Battlefield 3
  • Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe
  • Battlefield Hardline Digital Deluxe
  • Dead Space
  • Dead Space 2
  • Dead Space 3
  • Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition
  • Dragon Age II
  • Dragon Age: Inquisition Digital Deluxe
  • FIFA 15
  • Need for Speed Rivals Complete Edition
  • Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
  • The Sims 3 Starter Pack
  • SimCity
  • Torchlight II
  • This War of Mine q

Our Take
My only lament about Origin Access is that EA isn’t yet offering bundle plans for longer subscription periods. A full year of EA Access on Xbox One is $29.99. Right now, that same amount of time will cost you $60 on PC.
