by Brian Shea on Nov 23, 2015 at 02:32 PM

Free Lives' over-the-top retro side-scrolling shooter Broforce has received its November 2015 title update which adds a bunch of new content to the game. The free content pack, called "Lightning Strikes Twice," is available now.

The update adds two new lightning wielding characters that have been portrayed by Christopher Lambert on the silver screen. Now available in Broforce are Broden, the game's version of Mortal Kombat's Raiden, and Brolander, Broforce's take on Highlander. In addition, all characters can now call in All-American Supply Drops, which grant them access to powerful items like mechs. Players can also utilize items like performance enhancing drugs to make more difficult passages a little easier, and alien pheromones to help distract alien adversaries.

Though it's not featured in the trailer, the update also adds a new Covert Ops mode, which tailors challenges around each character's specific abilities and moveset. The update is available now.

If you'd like to see the new content in action, you can watch the high-octane trailer below. If you're intrigued by what you're seeing but have no idea what Broforce is, you can learn more by reading our review.
