Say Goodbye To The Borderlands 2 Loot The World App

by Mike Futter on Oct 21, 2015 at 10:52 AM

Way back in December 2013, Gearbox introduced an app that converts QR codes into Borderlands 2 loot. It’s time to say goodbye to Loot the World. You have succeeded. The world has been looted.

The app will rotate out of service tomorrow, October 22. This coincides with extended service on Gearbox’s Shift system in preparation for the Battleborn closed technical test coming up on October 29.

Maintenance will begin on or around 9:30 a.m. Pacific / 12:30 p.m. Eastern. Expect it to last about 12 hours.

As a parting gift, there are two QR codes that will give you “stamps” (the currency that allows you to move loot from the app to the game). We’ve copied them for you below.

Our Take
Perhaps now that we have stopped depleting our precious natural loot resources, the environment can start to heal. Goodbye, Loot The World. You were pretty cool for a while.
